Built between 1763 and 1768 by architect Laurent-Benoît Dewez for the banker Julien Depestre, Seneffe castle is a fine example of neoclassical architecture. His son added the orangery and the theatre. Bought by the Belgian state in 1969, the estate now houses the goldsmith museum of the French Community.
