Commissioned in 1930 by Baron Louis Empain from Swiss architect Michel Polak and completed around 1934, Villa Empain is an Art Deco jewel: a granite façade, interiors of marble, tropical woods and glass mosaics. Donated to the state in 1937, then long abandoned, it was restored by the Boghossian Foundation, awarded the Europa Nostra prize, and opened in 2010 as a centre for art and dialogue between East and West.
Its large garden and the monumental swimming pool at the rear make it an exceptional setting for dinners, receptions and private events.
