Autoworld occupies one of the halls of the Cinquantenaire Palace, which grew out of the 1880 national exhibition and was completed in 1905. From 1902 to 1936 the hall hosted car and motorbike shows. The museum, opened in 1986, displays more than 300 vehicles.
